The 4.5mm Cannulated Cortical Screw is an orthopedic fixation screw for medium-fragment fractures, including malleolar, tibial pilon, calcaneal, talar and tibial plateau fractures. Available in titanium and stainless steel, its cannulated shaft accepts a 1.6mm guide wire with a threaded trocar tip.
The cannulated shaft allows insertion over a compatible guide wire. This guides the screw along the selected trajectory during fracture fixation.
The hemispherical head supports annular contact with washers and plates when the screw is angled. Its low profile helps reduce the possibility of soft tissue irritation around the screw head.
The cortical thread profile is designed to provide pullout resistance and insertion efficiency similar to a standard 4.5mm cortex screw. The catalogue includes short-thread and fully threaded configurations, with self-tapping versions of both.
Fully threaded screws are intended to stabilize fractures where little or no compression across the fracture site is required. The listed applications also include carpal and tarsal arthrodeses.

The cannulated shaft accepts a 1.6mm guide wire with a threaded trocar tip.
The catalogue lists titanium and stainless steel screws from 20–56mm in 2mm increments, followed by 60, 64, 68, 72, 76 and 80mm. All four thread configurations use these listed lengths.
Fully threaded screws are intended to stabilize fractures where little or no compression across the fracture site is required. The catalogue includes both standard full-thread and self-tapping full-thread versions.
