The 4.0mm Cannulated Cancellous Screw is an orthopedic fixation screw for medium-fragment fractures and selected foot osteotomies and arthrodeses. Available in titanium and stainless steel, it accepts a 1.2mm guide wire and uses a standard 2.5mm hexagonal drive.
The cannulated shaft allows insertion over a 1.2mm guide wire, guiding the screw along the selected trajectory. Its 2.5mm hexagonal drive provides compatibility with a matching driver.
The hemispherical head supports annular contact with washers and plates when the screw is angled. A low-profile head helps reduce the possibility of soft tissue irritation around the fixation site.
Thread length matters when interfragmentary compression is required. Selecting a threaded portion that fits within the far bone fragment supports compression across the fracture. Fully threaded screws are intended for stabilization where little or no compression is needed.
Deep cancellous cutting threads with a large pitch increase resistance to pullout. The large pitch also supports faster insertion and removal.
Listed applications include tarsal and metatarsal fractures, metatarsal and phalangeal osteotomies, tarsometatarsal and metatarsophalangeal arthrodeses, ligament fixation, and hallux valgus correction.

Both screenshot tables list titanium and stainless steel screws in 10–50mm lengths at 2mm increments, followed by 55, 60, 65 and 70mm.
Short-thread screws support interfragmentary compression when their threads engage the far bone fragment. Fully threaded screws are intended to stabilize fractures where little or no compression is needed.
