3.5mm Locking Metaphyseal Plate

3.5mm Locking Metaphyseal Plate

Specifications

  • Available in both Titanium & Stainless steel.
  • Locking combi-holes allow uncompromising combinations: The combi-hole allows an internal plate fixation using standard screws, angular stable locking screws, or a combination of both. This takes into account the most diverse intraoperative requirements.
  • Angular stability allows for better fixation: The angle- and axis-stable locking screws prevent loss of reduction under load. precise anatomical contouring of the plate is unnecessary when using this system as a locking internal fixator.
  • Easier plate contouring due to thinned plate profile: The plate design facilitates anatomical contouring considerably, whilst taking into account the distinctive features of the metaphyseal bone area (e.g. complex bone shapes, thin soft tissue envelope).
  • The Locking Metaphyseal Plates have both compression and locking holes. All holes of the plate accept 3.5 mm cortex, 3.5mm locking, and 4.0 mm cancellous screws.
  • Plate available with 6,7,8,9,10,11,12,14,16 & 18 holes

Indications for us

The Metaphyseal plates are indicated for extra-articular fractures of the metaphyseal area that extend into the shaft. The 3.5 plate is indicated for distal tibial and distal humeral fractures.

FAQs

What is a 3.5mm Locking Metaphyseal Plate?

The 3.5mm Locking Metaphyseal Plate is an orthopedic fixation plate designed for stabilizing extra articular metaphyseal fractures that extend into the shaft. It is indicated for certain distal tibial and distal humeral fractures.

What materials are available for the 3.5mm Locking Metaphyseal Plate?

The plate is available in both titanium and stainless steel, allowing healthcare professionals to select the appropriate material based on the surgical application and clinical requirements.

What types of screws can be used with this plate?

The plate features compression and locking holes that can accommodate 3.5mm cortical screws, 3.5mm locking screws, and 4.0mm cancellous screws. This design supports different fixation approaches.

What sizes of the 3.5mm Locking Metaphyseal Plate are available?

The plate is offered in multiple configurations with 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 16, and 18 holes, providing options for different fracture patterns and fixation requirements.

What are the advantages of the locking design?

The angular stable locking mechanism is designed to help maintain fixation under load. The thinner plate profile also facilitates contouring for the anatomical characteristics of metaphyseal bone.
