3.5mm Locking Anterolateral Distal Tibia Plate

3.5mm Locking Anterolateral Distal Tibia Plate

Specification

  • Plates(Right & Left) available in both-Titanium & Stainless steel.
  • Plate features locking compression holes and round locking holes that accepts 3.5mm cortical and locking screws.
  • Four distal head holes angle 7° inferiorly to capture the posterior malleolus.
  • Elongated hole aids in plate positioning
  • Distal locking screws provide support for the articular surface..
  • Targeted locking for Volkman’s triangle and the Chaput fragment.
  • The head of the plate is designed to provide a low profile construct when using locking screws or cortex screws Ø 2.7 mm, resulting in less soft tissue irritation.
  • 60°twist in the shaft is contoured for the distal tibia anatomy: less plate contouring is required.
  • Plate available with 5,7,9,11,13,15,17,19, & 21 holes

Indications for use

  • Extra-articular and simple intra-articular distal tibia fractures
  • Distal tibia fracture, percutaneous or reducible by limited arthrotomy
  • Distal tibia fracture extending into the diaphyseal area

FAQs

What is the 3.5mm Locking Anterolateral Distal Tibia Plate used for?

The 3.5mm Locking Anterolateral Distal Tibia Plate is designed for fixation of extra articular and simple intra articular distal tibia fractures. It can also be used for distal tibia fractures extending into the diaphyseal area.

What types of screws are compatible with this distal tibia plate?

The plate features locking compression holes and round locking holes that accept 3.5mm cortical and locking screws. The plate head can also accommodate 2.7mm cortex screws where appropriate.

Is the 3.5mm Locking Anterolateral Distal Tibia Plate available in different materials?

Yes. The plate is available in both titanium and stainless steel options. Right and left sided versions are also available to accommodate the required surgical application.

What plate sizes are available?

The 3.5mm Locking Anterolateral Distal Tibia Plate is available with 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, and 21 holes, allowing surgeons to select a suitable plate length based on the fracture pattern and fixation requirements.

What design features does the plate offer?

The plate includes angled distal head holes, an elongated positioning hole, distal locking screw support for the articular surface, and a contoured shaft designed to follow distal tibia anatomy. Its low profile is intended to help reduce soft tissue irritation.
